Volleyball Recap: Mercer Has No Trouble Against Kennedy Catholic

Mercer won the last time they faced Kennedy Catholic and things went their way on Monday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Kennedy Catholic. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Mercer walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21, 25-16.

Ainsley Baldwin paced Mercer's offense, picking up 11 kills. Baldwin got some help from Tila Schaa and her 11 assists. Schaa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Mercer's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mercer will face off against Commodore Perry at 7:15 p.m. on September 2. As for Kennedy Catholic, they will square off against Greenville at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
