Softball Recap: Crockett Takes a Loss

Crockett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Incarnate Word Shamrocks.

Crockett saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Zavala, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Zavala stole this season.

Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Incarnate Word, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crockett will challenge Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Incarnate Word will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on March 13th.
