Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers vs. Richards Warriors
The Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers won the last time they faced the Richards Warriors, and things went their way on Monday too. Bradley-Bourbonnais was the clear victor by a 73-51 margin over Richards. That 73-51 margin sets a new team best for Bradley-Bourbonnais this season.
When it comes to explaining why Richards lost, one person who can't be blamed is David Thomas. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The contest was Thomas' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Davon Simpson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Bradley-Bourbonnais' win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Richards, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Bradley-Bourbonnais will head out on the road to face off against Sandburg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sandburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 486 points over their last seven contests. Richards won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Catalyst-Maria at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Catalyst-Maria will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 715th, while Richards is ranked 341st).
