Basketball Recap: Palacios Comes Up Short

Palacios was the 61-31 winner over Yoakum when they last played one another on January 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Sharks took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Palacios dropped their record down to 15-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Yoakum, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-19.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Palacios is set to square off against their familiar foe Edna at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Yoakum will take on rival Rice Consolidated at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
