Volleyball Recap: Bagdad Comes Up Short

Bagdad lost against Williams back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sultans lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Sultans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Bagdad was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-23, 25-14.

Leading Williams to victory were Kenzie Orozco and Daisy Vazquez. Orozco had 11 digs and one assist, while Vazquez had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave Vazquez a new career-high.

Bagdad's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Williams, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Bagdad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Desert Heights Prep on the 19th. As for Williams, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against BASIS Flagstaff on the 19th.
