After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pleasant Valley, Pocono Mountain West was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Stroudsburg Mountaineers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

While Pocono Mountain West won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 27-25.

Pocono Mountain West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaya Kaczmarek, who had 14 digs and three aces. Kaczmarek is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cayleigh Keller, who had six digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Pocono Mountain West was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests.

Pocono Mountain West's record is now 12-9. As for Stroudsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12-1.

Coming up, Pocono Mountain West will host Pocono Mountain East at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stroudsburg, they will take on Pleasant Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mountaineers surely won't give up without a fight.
