Baseball Game Preview: Woodstock Academy Centaurs vs. Fitch Falcons

Woodstock Academy is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Fitch a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Woodstock Academy Centaurs will welcome the Fitch Falcons at 4:15 p.m. The last four games Woodstock Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Woodstock Academy had just enough and edged out Montville 5-4. The Centaurs haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Woodstock Academy's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Camden Nason, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave Nason a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Fitch didn't have quite enough to beat North Kingstown on Saturday and fell 3-2.

The win got Woodstock Academy back to even at 8-8. As for Fitch, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
