The biggest upset of the week belonged to El Paso-Gridley, who took down 370th ranked Deer Creek-Mackinaw, 20-8.

The Titans were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 11th to ninth in Heart of Illinois. Earlier in the week, El Paso-Gridley defeated the Chiefs 20-8.

Lexington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Donavan Laible threw for 263 and five touchdowns and Jordan Algar had 108 yards receiving. On the ground Logan Kolat chipped in 96 yards. Kolat helped Lexington's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 93 yards.

The Minutemen's Laible and Algar have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Laible has thrown for 1865 yards this season, while Algar, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 42 catches for 773 yards. Kody Appel from Flanagan/Woodland leads the league in rushing with 815 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Falcons take on Ridgeview. As it stands, Flanagan/Woodland is in fifth, while the Mustangs are in fourth.

LeRoy extended the longest winning streak in Heart of Illinois this week by beating Tri-Valley, 34-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Panthers.
