Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Skyline's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

After losing to King the last time they met, Skyline decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spartans came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Emma Gutke paced Skyline's offense, picking up ten kills. Gutke got some help from Piper Hawryluk and her 22 assists. Carly Maginnis and Sam Oberg kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Skyline is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-3 record this season. As for King's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lakeside on the 25th. As for King's, they will face off against Cedar Park Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
