Softball Recap: Cleveland Clippers vs. Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin Wolverines
Cleveland got themselves on the board against Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin on Thursday, but Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolverines, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Clippers have posted since April 14th.

Not much got past Delaney Thompson, who gave up just six hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin off the board. Thompson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cleveland's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Keira Schipper, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Taylor McCabe also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
