Volleyball Recap: West Port Comes Up Short

West Port lost against East Ridge back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolf Pack fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, West Port sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-27, 25-17, 24-26, 15-8.

Their offense was headlined by Joslynn Galvan and Gaveena Smith, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Eneidys Maysonet and her 31 assists. Finally, Smith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

West Port's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

West Port wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Vanguard on the 25th. As for East Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Eustis on the 25th.
