Oak Ridge was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Del Oro on Wednesday. The Oak Ridge Trojans blew past the Del Oro Golden Eagles 79-47. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Oak Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Sullivan, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 21 points and four steals. Those 21 points gave Sullivan a new career-high. Jordan Sayer was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 16 points.

Oak Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Oro only nine assists.

When it comes to explaining why Del Oro lost, don't look at Jack Wagner. Despite the final result, he posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Tcruz, who put up seven points.

Oak Ridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points over those games. As for Del Oro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.

Oak Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-56 defeat against Folsom on the 14th. As for Del Oro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-51 loss against Granite Bay on the 14th.
