Softball Recap: Elmwood Park Takes a Loss

Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the West Chicago Wildcats.

Leah Alvarado was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Ava Bowser also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Elmwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for West Chicago, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Elmwood Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Bartlett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Chicago will square off against rival South Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
