Centaurus has gone a perfect 4-0 against Gateway recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Olympians at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Centaurus ended up a good deal behind Cheyenne Mountain and lost 54-35. While the Warriors had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Red-Tailed Hawks 21-14.

Meanwhile, Gateway played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Grand Junction and fell 52-7. The Olympians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.

Centaurus will have to contain Lyric Wynn as he made an impact in Gateway's last game. He rushed for 111 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Wynn got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 84 yards.

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Centaurus, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Centaurus against Gateway when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
