Volleyball Recap: Dexter Dreadnaughts vs. Skyline Eagles

After a string of 13 wins, Dexter's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyline Eagles. The shutout was out of character for the Dreadnaughts seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Skyline scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20.

Tia Schultz paced Dexter's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schultz got some help from Annamarie Myint and her four assists.

Dexter's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 33-4-2. As for Skyline, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-9-2.

Dexter has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Bedford on the 26th. As for Skyline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chelsea at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
