Volleyball Game Preview: Carlinville Cavaliers vs. Carrollton Hawks

The Carlinville Cavaliers will be taking part in a tournament against the Carrollton Hawks at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Carlinville came up short against Pana and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Carrollton waltzed into their contest on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vipers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Carrollton took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10.

Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 20-4-1. As for Carlinville, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 18-11.

Carlinville couldn't quite get it done against Carrollton in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
