Baseball Recap: Nine Straight Home Wins for Hazleton Area

Hazleton Area waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Scranton Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2019.

Hazleton Area's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Scranton, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-11.
