Walton put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mount Paran Christian Eagles. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Simone Searles paced Walton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Searles got some help from Janie Myers and her 15 assists. Scarlett Holden and Ella Cobb kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Walton's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Mount Paran Christian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Walton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Pope on the 23rd. As for Mount Paran Christian, they will challenge Fellowship Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
