Softball Recap: Parry McCluer Takes a Loss

If Parry McCluer was riding high fresh off their 23-6 takedown of Craig County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fighting Blues took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockbridge County Wildcats on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Blues in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Parry McCluer's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Rockbridge County, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parry McCluer will take on Buffalo Gap at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rockbridge County, they will be playing at home against William Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
