Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aidan Ford and Chance Meader Lead Conneaut Area to Victory

After losing to Northwestern the last time they met, Conneaut Area decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Chance Meader and Aidan Ford. Meader rushed for 148 yards and one TD while Ford rushed for 111 yards and one score on only 15 carries. Those 148 rushing yards gave Meader a new career-high.

Conneaut Area was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

When it comes to explaining why Northwestern lost, don't look at Brody Bickenheuser. Despite the final result, he rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

Conneaut Area's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Northwestern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Conneaut Area didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-12 victory against Maplewood on the 26th. As for Northwestern, they have also already played their next game, a 25-19 loss against Greenville on the 26th.
