Football Game Preview: Perryville Mustangs vs. Glen Rose Beavers

Perryville is 0-4 against Glen Rose since October of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Beavers at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Perryville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 19-14 to Paris.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Hoyt Howard, who picked up 95 receiving yards and one score. That receiving touchdown marked the first that he has hauled in this season.

Meanwhile, Glen Rose entered their tilt with Jessieville on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Lions 49-14. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 35 points or more this season.

Glen Rose's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Perryville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Perryville took a serious blow against Glen Rose when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 49-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Beavers' Gage Hood, who threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards.
