Basketball Recap: June Olsen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Sanpete

Manti won the last time they faced North Sanpete and things went their way on Thursday too. The Manti Templars took down the North Sanpete Hawks 50-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Templars.

Manti's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was June Olsen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The game was Olsen's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Olson, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards.

Lucy Hiatt and Sadie Job certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Hiatt posted six points and seven rebounds, while Job put up 12 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Madison Johansen, who scored two points and five rebounds.

Manti's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10. As for North Sanpete, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Manti has already played their next contest (against Juab), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Sanpete didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-27 loss against Emery on the 4th.
