Baseball Game Preview: Midview Middies vs. Buckeye Bucks

The Midview Middies will challenge the Buckeye Bucks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Buckeye took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Midview, who comes in off a win.

Midview was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rocky River, sneaking past 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Middies in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

Cody Martin looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Midview's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Camden Scott, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Scott is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Buckeye didn't have quite enough to beat GlenOak on Wednesday and fell 5-4.

Buckeye's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Midview, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
