Basketball Recap: Heritage Wins Going Away Against Lakeland

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Heritage had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 61-35 margin over the Lakeland Cavaliers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Lakeland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aubrianna Paiz, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and five steals, and Miracle Stephens, who scored five points along with six rebounds and three steals. Paiz has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kriscena Stephen, who earned eight points in addition to six boards and three blocks.
