Soccer Game Preview: Citrus Hill vs. Paloma Valley

The Citrus Hill Hawks will challenge the Paloma Valley Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Citrus Hill is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Arlington on Thursday. Citrus Hill fell just short of Arlington by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Paloma Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Poly on Thursday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 514th, while the Bears are ranked 143rd).

Citrus Hill's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-9. As for Paloma Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9-2 record this season.
