Basketball Recap: Muhamed Muhamed Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

The third road match was the charm for Burgard, as they earned their first road win of the season. They managed a 63-58 win over the Western New York Maritime Charter Commodores on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Burgard's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Muhamed Muhamed, who went 10 for 18 on his way to 26 points and three steals. Muhamed is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Kentae Land was another key player, going 8 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

The win got Burgard back to even at 3-3. As for Western New York Maritime Charter, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burgard will challenge Olmsted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burgard is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season. As for Western New York Maritime Charter, they will venture away from home to square off against Grand Island at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
