Basketball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 54-37 bruising from the Iroquois Braves. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 17 points.

It was another big night for Kellen Burroughs, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 15 boards for Iroquois. Burroughs has become a key player for Iroquois: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 20 points, but 6-13 otherwise. Roman Caporale was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 10 points.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Iroquois, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.

As of now, neither Northwestern nor Iroquois have any future games scheduled.
