Baseball Recap: East Jordan Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

East Jordan waltzed into their match on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Everything went their way against the Mancelona Ironmen as they made off with a 14-8 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

East Jordan got a massive performance out of Brenden Aenis, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Korbyn Russell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: East Jordan lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

East Jordan pushed their record up to 23-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Mancelona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Coming up, East Jordan will head out to take on Boyne City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mancelona, they will welcome Inland Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
