Baseball Recap: Fayetteville Street Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fayetteville Street Christian can now relate to. They lost 16-6 to the Calvary Christian Cougar on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougar this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-0 defeat back in April.

Fayetteville Street Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Abbott, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Abbott has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Fayetteville Street Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Calvary Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Fayetteville Street Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvary Christian, they will square off against Rockwell Christian School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougar will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
