Basketball Recap: Temecula Prep Has No Trouble Against Mountain View

Temecula Prep's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Mountain View Spartans with a sharp 60-36 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Mountain View saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Diego Inocencio posted 12 points and five rebounds. Jaden Feller was another key player, putting up six points.

Temecula Prep's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Mountain View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Temecula Prep will face off against Elsinore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Elsinore knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Temecula Prep likes a good challenge. As for Mountain View, they will take on Palo Alto at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Palo Alto has won three straight at home, while Mountain View won five straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
