Volleyball Game Preview: Highland Prep Honey Badgers vs. Tonopah Valley Phoenix

Highland Prep is 0-3 against Tonopah Valley since September of 2024 but things could change on Monday. The Honey Badgers will take on the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. Tonopah Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Highland Prep, who comes in off a win.

Highland Prep took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Somerton.

Highland Prep walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 26-24, 25-12, 24-26, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Tonopah Valley came up short against Yuma Catholic on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Phoenix in their meetings with the Shamrocks: they've now lost three in a row.

The win got Highland Prep back to even at 5-5. As for Tonopah Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Highland Prep couldn't quite get it done against Tonopah Valley in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Honey Badgers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
