Recap: North Henderson Knights vs. East Henderson Eagles
The North Henderson Knights suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Friday. Their tough 61-36 defeat to East Henderson might stick with them for a while. North Henderson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Henderson apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, North Henderson had strong showings from Amy Rhymer, who scored 19 points, and Dulce Geronimo, who scored nine points.
East Henderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison McCall, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals. McCall also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Foushee, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for North Henderson and nudges their season record down to 3-13. As for East Henderson, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
North Henderson will be playing at home against Hendersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Henderson, they will head out on the road to square off against Pisgah at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Pisgah's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while East Henderson has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
