Basketball Recap: Wolcott College Prep Skates Past Christian Heritage Academy with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus, Wolcott College Prep was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Christian Heritage Academy Lions, posting a 41-8 victory. The matchup marked the Wolves' most dominant win of the season.

Wolcott College Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eliana Henschel, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points and three steals. That's the most points Henschel has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tara Roche, who posted eight points and four steals.

Wolcott College Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Wolcott College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Wolcott College Prep and Christian Heritage Academy's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Wolcott College Prep and Morgan Park Academy (who has only given up 27.88 points per game) will meet at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Similarly, Christian Heritage Academy will take on Beacon Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th, a team that's only allowed 28.6 points per game.
