Baseball Recap: Southridge Takes a Loss

If Southridge was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of North Salem on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Skyhawks fell 9-4 to the Sprague Olympians on Thursday.

Southridge's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Sprague, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Southridge will face off against Mountainside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sprague, they are taking a road trip to square off against South Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saxons will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Olympians surely won't give up without a fight.
