Basketball Recap: Southeast Guilford Falcons vs. Ragsdale Tigers
Southeast Guilford got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They snuck past the Ragsdale Tigers with a 64-58 win on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-65 back in December of 2024.
Southeast Guilford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Geter led the charge by going 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayce Brannon, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven assists and three steals.
Ragsdale lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Josiah Beatty, who posted 15 points and eight assists. Those 15 points gave Beatty a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahveer Branch, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
