Huntley is 9-1 against Hampshire since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Whip-Purs at 4:30 p.m. The last three games Huntley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Things were looking good for Huntley after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-2 to Prairie Ridge, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Gretchen Huber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Huntley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyla Ginczycki, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Hampshire made sure to put some runs up on the board against Crystal Lake South on Monday. The Whip-Purs never let the Gators get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The Whip-Purs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

Hampshire's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Huntley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10.

Everything went Huntley's way against Hampshire in their previous meeting back in April, as Huntley made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
