Volleyball Recap: Lexington Christian Comes Up Short

Lexington Christian lost against Henry Clay back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Blue Devils. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Lexington Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-23.

Hailey Jude paced Lexington Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Jude got some help from Madeleine Eubank and her 16 assists. Eubank was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lexington Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Henry Clay, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Lexington Christian has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Highlands on the 10th. As for Henry Clay, they will challenge Lexington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
