Recap: Carroll Eagles vs. Rehobeth Rebels
Even though the Rehobeth Rebels scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Carroll Eagles still came out on top. Carroll enjoyed a cozy 70-56 win over Rehobeth. Given Carroll's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Rehobeth is ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carroll was led to victory by Devon Pruitt and Peyton Plott. Pruitt dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Plott scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Glenn, who scored 2 points along with 8 assists and 5 rebounds.
Carroll's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Rehobeth, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will take on Enterprise at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Enterprise will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Rehobeth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dale County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dale County is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
