Baseball Game Preview: Bishop McGuinness Villains vs. Alleghany Trojans

The Bishop McGuinness Villains will head out to face off against the Alleghany Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop McGuinness has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Bishop McGuinness after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 13-9 to Bethany Community.

Meanwhile, Alleghany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of East Wilkes.

Alleghany saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Higgins, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Greyson Pipes also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Alleghany's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Bishop McGuinness, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-8.
