Softball Preview: Tupelo Golden Wave vs. Lewisburg Patriots

Tupelo is 0-4 against Lewisburg since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tupelo Golden Wave are on the road again to play the Lewisburg Patriots at 6:00 p.m.

Leah Walker made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Walker has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Walker was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Kara Walker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Leona Klaire Stokes was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
