Campbell-Savona gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over the Alfred-Almond Eagles. The Panthers have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Campbell-Savona let Maggie Fodge and Kali Maddock run wild. Fodge went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Maddock got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Leah Loveless was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Coming up, Campbell-Savona will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Hammondsport at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alfred-Almond, they will be playing at home against Friendship at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
