The LEAD Academy Panthers won the last time they faced the Watertown Purple Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went LEAD Academy's way against Watertown as LEAD Academy made off with a 70-47 win. Given LEAD Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Watertown is ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

LEAD Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Watertown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
LEAD Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Southern Guilford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully LEAD Academy likes a good challenge.
