Volleyball Recap: Raymore-Peculiar Snags Tenth Win in Last 12 Games

While Raymore-Peculiar's win against Blue Springs wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2.

Raymore-Peculiar was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 28-26, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Raymore-Peculiar can attribute much of their success to Paxtyn Scrivener, who had 17 digs and one assist. Those 17 digs gave Scrivener a new career-high.

Blue Springs' loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Callie Andes and AJ Johnson. Andes had 12 digs, while Johnson had seven digs.

Raymore-Peculiar is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Blue Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-18.

Raymore-Peculiar has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Notre Dame de Sion on the 18th. As for Blue Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Fort Osage on the 23rd.
