Roanoke Valley Christian entered their tilt with Timberlake Christian on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 51-44 win over the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes. That's more bragging rights for the EAGLES, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Roanoke Valley Christian had a senior duo take command as Logan Gutierrez went 11-for-20 to rack up 25 points in addition to five boards and four steals and Luke Somers went 6-for-15 en route to 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gutierrez has scored at least a third of Roanoke Valley Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Cummings, who posted three points and six boards.

Roanoke Valley Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. As for Timberlake Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Roanoke Valley Christian will challenge Dayspring Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Roanoke Valley Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Timberlake Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
