Avoyelles came out on top against Buckeye on Friday thanks in part to Xavier Scott's efforts. Scott rushed for 78 yards and one score, which was good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards.

Looking ahead, Scott and Avoyelles will be playing at home against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are a perfect 3-0 against the Gators going back to October of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
