Softball Recap: Seneca Drops Highest Score of Season Against North Crawford

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seneca). They put the hurt on the North Crawford Trojans with a sharp 20-3 victory on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win made it two in a row for Seneca and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for North Crawford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will head out to square off against Royall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Crawford, they will challenge La Farge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.33 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
