Baseball Recap: Dripping Springs Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Dripping Springs couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Kingwood Mustangs by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Dripping Springs has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 29-12 record this season. As for Kingwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-4 record this season.

Dripping Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kingwood, they will square off against Tomball at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
