Baseball Recap: Raytown South Comes Up Short

Raytown South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Kearney Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Wednesday.

Raytown South's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Kearney, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Raytown South is taking a road trip to face off against Grandview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Kearney, they will be playing at home against Excelsior Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
