Baseball Game Preview: Port St. Lucie Jaguars vs. Master's Academy Patriots

Port St. Lucie hasn't had much luck against Master's Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Colton Thompson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Thompson was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Bona, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Cotgreave, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Master's Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Master's Academy pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Port St. Lucie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1.
