Baseball Recap: Union Parish Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lincoln Prep last Thursday, Union Parish came back down to earth. The Union Parish Farmers fell 8-3 to the Simsboro Tigers on Friday. The loss was the Farmers' first of the season.

Jose Rodriguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Union Parish fell to 2-1. As for Simsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4-1 record this season.

Union Parish didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-0 loss against Weston on the 3rd. As for Simsboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Haynesville on the 1st.
